Get help applying for CalFresh at Atascadero Library event
CalFresh provides eligible individuals and families with money for groceries
– The SLO Food Bank, in partnership with the Department of Social Services, will host a free event at the Atascadero Library on Oct. 16 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. to help community members apply for CalFresh benefits. The event aims to assist individuals and families struggling with grocery costs by providing one-on-one support for those interested in applying for CalFresh, California’s Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).
CalFresh provides eligible individuals and families with money for groceries. Staff from the Department of Social Services will be available to help attendees apply, determine eligibility, and answer questions. Multilingual support, including assistance for Spanish-speaking families, will also be available.
Attendees should bring necessary documents such as identification, a paystub, and a social security card to apply for benefits.
