Get CalFresh support at Atascadero Library on Wednesday
Multilingual CalFresh support available at Atascadero Library
– The SLO Food Bank, in collaboration with the Department of Social Services, will offer assistance for individuals and families interested in applying for CalFresh benefits at the Atascadero Library on Oct. 16 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. The event is free and open to the public, aiming to help community members access financial support for groceries. The library is located at 6555 Capistrano Ave., in Atascadero.
CalFresh, California’s Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), provides eligible individuals and families with money for groceries. Staff from the Department of Social Services will be on-site to guide attendees through the application process, determine eligibility, and address any questions or concerns. Multilingual support, including assistance for Spanish-speaking families, will also be available.
Attendees should bring identification, such as a driver’s license, passport, or state-issued identification card, along with a paystub and social security card, to complete the application process.
