Gallery seeking artist submissions for upcoming exhibition

“Chasing Light” exhibition is scheduled to be on display at Art Center Morro Bay from Feb. 22 to Apr. 1
– Art Center Morro Bay is preparing to host the art exhibition titled “Chasing Light,” which delves into the ways artists use light in their work to convey depth, perception, intensity, mood, and emotion. This exploration includes the deliberate use of shadow and darkness. Artists employ various techniques, such as the choice of color, sunlight, and reflection, to capture the essence of their creations.
The call for artists invites submissions on any platform that reflect the artist’s meditation on “chasing” light in their creations. Oversized entries require approval from the director, and artworks solely based on artificial intelligence will be considered only with prior authorization from the gallery director.
The “Chasing Light” exhibition is scheduled to be on display at Art Center Morro Bay from Feb. 22 to Apr. 1, with the opening reception set for Sunday, Feb. 25, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
For artists participating in the exhibition, show dates are from Feb. 22 to Apr. 1. Artist take-in is scheduled for Feb. 20, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and artist pick-up will be on Apr. 2, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The exhibition will be held at Art Center Morro Bay, located at 835 Main Street, Morro Bay, CA 93442. The opening reception is on Sunday, Feb. 25, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
