Freebo, blues-rock legend, performs in Atascadero Nov. 26

—Freebo, known for his work with Bonnie Raitt among others, is an American bassist, tubist, guitarist, singer-songwriter, and producer who will perform live in concert at Last Stage West, 15050 Morro Rd.,Atascadero on Sat., Nov. 26, at 7:00 p.m. He is presented by the Toro Creek Event Center.

Born Daniel Friedberg but known professionally as Freebo throughout his career, Freebo is something of a blues-rock and folk legend who, after more than 40 years of recording and touring with many of the great artists of our time (Raitt, CSN, Maria Muldaur, John Mayall, Ringo Starr, Dr. John, Neil Young) is regarded as one of today’s most gifted singer-songwriters. A multi-award winner and finalist in numerous songwriting contests, he has appeared on Saturday Night Live, The Muppet Show, The Midnight Special, and in concert with the legendary Spinal Tap.

Tickets are $45/$55 at the door and are available now. Beer and wine sold separately. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. A buffet, “Dinner with the Band,” will begin at 6 p.m. with the concert slated from 7–9 p.m.
