Free family concert planned at Atascadero Bible Church
Concert will feature popular songs inspired by “I” themes
– The Atascadero Community Band invites the community to a free concert titled “The I’s Have It?” on March 1 at 3 p.m. at Atascadero Bible Church.
The program features music inspired by “I,” “Eye,” and “Neigh,” including “Eye of the Tiger,” “I Believe I Can Fly,” “I Say a Little Prayer for You,” “Don’t It Make My Brown Eyes Blue,” “I Heard It Through the Grapevine,” and equestrian-themed selections such as “Grey Horse Polka” and “Black Horse Troop.”
Conductors Carol Kouklis and Joe Herzog will share the podium. Kouklis, who also serves on the Artistic Committee that designs the group’s concerts, said, “When we realized how many great songs revolve around ‘I,’ we couldn’t resist building a whole concert around it! From rock to folk to a little horsepower, there’s truly something for everyone.”
Admission, parking, and refreshments are free. Donations will benefit 805 Movement and Performance Arts.
The Atascadero Community Band is an all-age, all-volunteer nonprofit organization that has shared music and music education with the community for 40 years. For more information, visit atascaderoband.org.
