Fourth annual “Speak Out” event next month
All business owners are welcome to join
– The National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) announced that the fourth annual “Speak Out” event will be held at the Monday Club in San Luis Obispo on Thursday, March 10, at 6 p.m.
The non-partisan event is open to all business owners and offers them an opportunity to speak with local government officials about their needs as a business community.
“This isn’t a typical event where you express your feelings and are given canned answers,” said Jill Drexhage, President of the NAWBO Central Coast California chapter. “This is your opportunity to speak out your concerns as a business owner and for them to listen. The landscape of business has changed dramatically in the past few years which makes your voice at this year’s Speak Out of utmost importance.”
NAWBO is dedicated to helping women entrepreneurs and business owners advance and reach beyond their local market.
Several local officials have already confirmed their attendance at the event. San Luis Obispo Mayor, Erica Stewart will be there along with the mayor of Grover Beach, Jeff Lee and Mayor Pro-Tem of Arroyo Grande, Lan George. District 2 Supervisor Bruce Gibson and District 3 Supervisor Dawn Ortiz-Legg will also be in attendance.
Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the event webpage.
