Former Templeton resident debuts Revolutionary War novel
‘A Lady’ debuted July 4
– Former Templeton resident Hannah Honegger’s debut historical fiction novel, “A Lady,” was published on July 4 by Quill and Flame Publishing House. The book, set during the Revolutionary War, follows Mary André, sister to a prominent British officer, who must decide whether to become a member of George Washington’s ring of spies or risk being discovered as the enemy.
“A Lady” explores Mary’s journey as she faces the consequences of her decisions, including risking her brother’s life to save revolutionary soldiers and potentially changing the course of the war. The novel is filled with intrigue, adventure, and romance, drawing comparisons to “The Patriot,” “Hamilton,” and the “Outlander” series.
The novel has received praise from NYT bestselling author Tosca Lee and Kirkus Reviews, which described it as “atmospheric and entertaining, generously peppered with historical tidbits.” Pulitzer Prize-winning historian Alan Taylor and Christy Award-winning author Laura Frantz have also praised the book. NYT bestselling author Jeff Shaara said, “Your premise, and your story sound far more interesting than most.”
