First Solar hosts jobs fair for new solar project

Two-day job fair in King City held for new California Flats Solar project

First Solar will host a two-day job fair to recruit qualified local workers for the construction of a 280-megawatt solar photovoltaic (PV) project to be built in southeastern Monterey County, 27 miles east of Paso Robles, off Highway 41.

The job fair will be held in King City at the King City Recreation Center on Friday, Dec. 4, from 1-7 p.m., and Saturday, Dec. 5, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. First Solar is the project owner and McCarthy Building Companies will construct the California Flats Solar project using First Solar’s advanced PV thin film solar modules.

Job opportunities include:

  • Fork Lift Operators
  • Skid Steer Operators
  • Heavy Equipment Operators
  • Water Truck Drivers
  • Post, Module and Tracker Installers
  • General Labor
