First Friday in Atascadero to celebrate Dia de los Muertos

The evening will kick off with a special Folkloric dance group, Ballet Folklorico Flor de Luna, at 5:30 p.m. at The Plaza on El Camino, followed by Erin & the Earthquakes (pictured).
Event downtown to include musical performances, food and drinks
– The City of Atascadero is gearing up for First Friday on Nov. 3 downtown featuring a variety of festivities to celebrate Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) starting at 5:30 p.m.
The Día de los Muertos theme will set the tone as we offer festive entertainment, as well as a variety of food and drink specials that can be found throughout the downtown at many of the popular restaurants and drink establishments. For starters, the evening will kick off with a special Folkloric dance group, Ballet Folklorico Flor de Luna, at 5:30 p.m. at The Plaza on El Camino, followed by Erin & the Earthquakes performing a unique blend of Rock, Funk, Blues, Jazz, covers and originals. Food truck Bear City Social, will be on site. Plus enjoy our strolling Mariachi Mexicanisimo band as they make their way through downtown.
There will be a variety of downtown food and drink establishments celebrating the First Fridays theme throughout the evening including, Carbon 6 Wine Bar with Taquitos and Mole Negro, The Chop Shop with themed décor and drink specials, Kula Vineyards with Choco’s Mexican Grill as well as serving special White Wine Margaritas and Sangrias, The Raconteur Room offering drink specials like the Black Sabbath cocktail for $6, Central Coast Distillery with Super Fiesta Pop Up Cuisine and Unhinged Wine Bar with $5 805 Cerveza and $5 Chips & Salsa.
The next First Friday will be on Dec. 1 at 5:30 p.m. with the annual family-fun activities enjoyed at Light up the Downtown and the Atascadero Chamber’s Holiday Sip & Shop.
