‘Stone Fire’ 40-percent contained

–The Stone Fire in Santa Margarita is at 340 acres and is 40-percent contained. 7 structures have been destroyed and evacuations are in place, according to Cal Fire.

–A fire sparked in the Huer Huero Road area near Santa Margarita Sunday. The fire jumped Highway 58, forcing a road closure. An evacuation shelter is being set up by the red cross at Santa Margarita Elementary School. Numerous structures are in the area and large resource orders have been placed, according to Cal Fire.
