Farmers Market returns to Atascadero’s Sunken Gardens

Farmers-Market
Farmers Market returned to Atascadero’s Sunken Gardens Wednesday afternoon. In recent years, the weekly event had been held in the Smart and Final parking lot on El Camino Real.

Those selling produce or other perishables backed their vehicles up to the sidewalk surrounding the Sunken Gardens and set up their tents. Several thousand visitors walked around the park on a warm, sunny afternoon to shop in the shade. Many vendors reported selling out of their product.

Farmers Market organizers gave away trays of strawberries to Veterans and everyone who made a purchase. Atascadero High School Jazz Band and cheerleaders entertained. Young dancers from Motion Academy of Dance also performed.

The Farmers Market will be held from 3-6 every Wednesday afternoon at the Sunken Gardens in Atascadero.
