–On the way home to Paso Robles from a cross-country road trip, Jason Brock, his wife, two daughters, and father in law escaped from their recently-purchased RV while it became fully engulfed in flames.
According to posts made by Brock on Facebook, Brock spotted smoke coming from the back of the RV and pulled over. He attempted to extinguish the fire before quickly evacuating. He streamed a video of the fire engulfing the RV on his Facebook. He had only had the RV for 29 days, according to reports. Everything inside was destroyed.
The fire sparked a small grass fire nearby and briefly shut down Highway 46 near Lost Hills. Crews were able to extinguish the flames and prevent them from spreading. No one was injured during the blaze, although Jason’s wife burned her feet on the hot ground after fleeing the RV without shoes.
