Families invited to annual ‘Boo Bash’

–The City of San Luis Obispo Parks and Recreation Department invites all families to celebrate the season at its Boo Bash. On Friday, Oct. 26, Meadow Park in San Luis Obispo will be transformed into a family-friendly costume party and haunted park/house. At dusk, families will enjoy the kid-friendly outdoor movie “Curious George: A Boo Fest” on the Meadow Park lawn under the stars. There will be food trucks on site for purchased meals and snacks as well as free games and activities for all to enjoy. Boo Bash was started by a local mother more than five years ago, and the Parks and Recreation Department has stepped in to continue the fun tradition.

All Boo Bash attendees are asked to bring a non-perishable food item to be donated to the Food Bank Coalition of San Luis Obispo County. In 2017, the Food Bank distributed more than five million pounds of food to people in need throughout the Central Coast. The event starts at 5 p.m., the movie starts at dusk. The event is free to attend, food is available for purchase
