Downtown restaurants give discounts on ‘Orange and Grey Fridays’
– The City of Atascadero and Atascadero High School are partnering with downtown restaurants to host “Orange & Grey Fridays” for all Greyhound home football games beginning Friday, Sept. 26.
Families and students are invited downtown before each game. Those wearing orange and grey team colors will receive a 10 percent discount at participating restaurants.
The recently improved El Camino Real corridor offers parking, upgraded access and close proximity to both local restaurants and the high school football field. Attendees can park downtown, eat, and then walk through the high school tunnel across from Sunken Gardens to the game.
Restaurants offering a 10 percent discount on food items, not including beverages, include Barley & Boar, Cielo Italian Restaurant & Rooftop Bar, Street Side Ale House, Colony Sandwich Company and Wild Fields Brewhouse. Kula Hawaiian Kitchen & Winery is offering 10 percent off beverages.
The promotion applies to the home football games on Sept. 26, Oct. 10, Oct. 24 and Oct. 31. Team apparel is available at https://themascotshop.jostens.com/1002997, with 10 percent of proceeds supporting school programs.
