DAR La Cuesta chapter donates to 40 Prado Homeless Services Center

To honor the anniversary of the Daughter of the American Revolution‘s founding on October 11, 1890, the local La Cuesta chapter of the organization participated in a day of service and donated non perishable food items, disposable plates, bowls, cutlery, toiletries and clothing to the 40 Prado Homeless Services Center.
Chapter regent Leslie Lechner organized the service project to help the shelter. The La Cuesta chapter has over 80 members and is dedicated to helping the local community through volunteer service.
The shelter is operated by the Community Action Partnership of San Luis Obispo and is open 365 days per year offering a variety of services like overnight shelter, showers, laundry, animal kennels, mail/phone services and more.
