Cuesta Rodeo team ranked 19th in nation
Team returns from national competition
–Cuesta College’s Rodeo Club recently returned from the College National Finals Rodeo competition in Casper, WY, with the team placing 19th in the nation. Aaron Williams placed 8th in bull riding and won the second go-around. Lane Lowrey took home 4th place in the team roping-heading competition, and Will Centoni landed at 15th in the saddle bronc riding.
“We are extremely proud of our Cuesta Cougars,” said Rodeo Club Coach Clint Pearce. “This was only our second year and it was great just qualifying for the National Finals. Our athletes competed very well and stood up to the best College Rodeo competition in the country. We’re proud of our finish and looking forward to being even more competitive next year.”
