Crush and Roll hosting annual event
– Cigar aficionados far and wide will descend on the Paso Robles Event Center on Friday and Saturday, Aug. 28-29 for Crush & Roll West, the west coast’s premiere cigar and wine event according to Cigar Snob Magazine.
For the 7th straight year, cigar makers and brand owners like Davidoff, Drew Estate, Marathon Trading Company, San Lotano, Dignity cigars and more will pair up with Napa, Sonoma, Santa Maria Valley and Paso Robles Wine Country producers like Sharp’s Hill, Kelsey See Canyon , Roxo Port Cellars, and Daou, among many others, to expand the palate and olfactory senses.
Crush & Roll West is a two-day event starting with a casual mixer on Friday, Aug. 28 from 6–11 p.m. Friday’s event will feature the 5th annual poker tournament with great prizes. There will also be live entertainment by the AJM Band, food, silent auctions and raffles. Some of the proceeds will benefit the local charity, Honor Flight. Davidoff Cigars is once again sponsoring the Friday night event with help from General Cigars.
On Saturday, Aug. 29 from 12–5 p.m., Crush & Roll West will showcase 60-plus exhibitors including cigar vendors, wine and beer vendors, and lifestyle vendors, along with cigar tasting and rolling demonstrations by manufacturers from the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua, Honduras and Costa Rica.
The event will feature live entertainment by the Michael Barry Band, educational seminars, auctions, raffles and more at the Paso Robles Event Center, which is home to the California Mid-State Fair.
Attendees are invited to stomp grapes with the Crush & Roll Magnus Port “Crushing Crew” led by Jeff Steel of Roxo Port Cellars, the juice from which will be used in a future vintage Crush & Roll West Limited Edition Port.
This year marks the inaugural Crush and Roll After Party. Attendees are invited to Barrelhouse Brewing in Paso Robles Saturday night from 6:30-9 p.m. to partake in more cigars, great craft beer, food and entertainment. Cigars will also be available for sale by select manufacturers.
