Crafts with Cops brings families and officers together in Atascadero

– The Atascadero Police Department recently hosted a Crafts with Cops event that drew children and families from the community for a holiday-themed afternoon with police officers.

The event included craft activities for children and opportunities for families to interact with officers. The department thanked Julia, a dispatcher with the Atascadero Police Department, and her husband, Kyle, for donating craft supplies used during the event.

The Lonely Oak provided free face painting for children, and Atown Cookies and Cocoa participated by bringing the Grinch to the event. The Atascadero Recreation Division partnered with the police department by providing space for the event as well as hot chocolate and candy canes.

The police department stated that community participation and partnerships contributed to the event’s success and thanked residents and local organizations for taking part.
