County will move to vaccine lottery system next week

–Next week the county will switch to a lottery-based vaccine appointment system that requires people to register for vaccine appointments only once. Health care workers, long-term care facility residents, and employees, and people age 65 and older can register online at RecoverSLO.org.

The county will then electronically and randomly select a portion of those registered to fill appointment slots that week, based on vaccine allocation made available to the county. Appointments in Paso Robles may come available this week, register here.

According to the San Luis Obispo County Public Health Department, 15-percent of SLO County’s population has now been fully vaccinated.

For more information, visit www.ReadySLO.org or call the recorded Public Health Information Line at (805) 788-2903. A staffed phone assistance center is available at (805) 543-2444 or (805) 781-4280, 7 days a week, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
