Community shred event happening Sept. 25 

Community invited to safety dispose of old paperwork at Veterans of Foreign War building

–Members of the Atascadero and neighboring communities are invited to safely and securely dispose of old documents and paperwork at a Community Shred Event on Saturday, September 25 from 8-11 a.m. at the Veterans of Foreign War (VFW) 2814 located at 9555 Morro Road in Atascadero, (enter off Santa Rosa Road.)

Hosted by the VFW Auxiliary 2814, the Community Shred Event will be a drive-through format where participants can remain in their vehicle to drop off items to be shredded. Professional staff with Santa Maria based Shred 2 You will be on-hand to handle the drop-off and shredding. Only paper will be accepted, so please no electronics, cellphones or batteries.

Cost for the shredding services is a suggested donation of $5 per banker box with all proceeds benefiting VFW 2814.

Members of the community are also invited to park and enjoy a Breakfast at the VFW the same day from 9:00 am-11:00 am. VFW Post members will be preparing and serving a homemade breakfast for $8 with proceeds benefiting VFW 2814.
