Committee hosts bingo bash to support Atascadero schools

Event will take place May 18 at the zoo garden

– The Committee for Atascadero Public Schools will hold its first Bingo Bash on May 18 in an effort to raise funds for local education and reach a $1 million fundraising milestone.

The event will take place from 1:30 to 5 p.m. at the Atascadero Zoo Garden Event Center. Proceeds will go directly to the Atascadero Unified School District to support classroom supplies, educational programs, teacher resources and student enrichment.

Founded in 2007, the committee has donated more than $900,000 to the school district.

“We’re incredibly proud of what CAPS has achieved since we started in 2007,” said Carrie White, president of the Committee for Atascadero Public Schools. “This year, our community has an extraordinary opportunity to help us reach that magical one-million-dollar mark. Every ticket purchased, auction item bid on, and bingo game played at our event will directly benefit the classrooms, teachers, and students of our community.”

The event will feature bingo games, prizes, auction items donated by local partners and schools, as well as food and beverages available for purchase. Students, families, and members of the community are invited to attend.
