City hosting call for talent for concerts in the park series
–The City of Atascadero is now accepting band applications for the Saturdays in the Park Summer 2017 Concert Series. Band applications are available at the Colony Park Community Center, located at 5599 Traffic Way in Atascadero, and on the city’s website at atascadero.org.
To have an application mailed or emailed to you please call or email Recreation Supervisor Jennifer Fanning at (805) 470-3426 [email protected]. All band applications are due by no later than Friday, Feb. 10, 2017 at 5 p.m. for consideration. No late applications will be accepted.
Atascadero’s Summer 2017 Concert Series will be held on Saturdays throughout the summer, beginning on June 17 with an evening of jazz. All concerts are held at the Atascadero Lake Park Bandstand from 6:30-8:30 p.m. and are free for the community to attend.
The concert series is promoted through many avenues of media including radio, digital ads, websites, social media and printed materials. Each band selected is paid a one-time stipend of $300 on the evening of their respective concert. The city will provide an audio technician for each concert. Personal audio equipment is not allowed.
Sponsorship donations are needed in order to provide the concert series to the public every summer. Potential sponsors of this very popular annual summertime event should contact Jennifer Fanning at (805) 470-3426.
