Citizens voice concerns over Eagle Ranch development
-By Dick Mason
–Thursday night, Atascadero City Council and Planning Commission held a joint meeting to hear public testimony about the Draft Environmental Impact Report for the Eagle Ranch Development.
Dozens of neighbors expressed their concerns about the proposed development. Most were concerned about increased traffic on San Diego and other roads adjacent to the ranch. The plans for Eagle Ranch date back to E.G Lewis when he developed Atascadero 100 years ago.

Jim Wilkins, whose grandfather worked for E.G. Lewis, talks about historic ownership of city lots in Atascadero.
City staff and elected officials heard testimony for more than two hours.
Community Development Director Mike Dunsmore tells Paso Robles Daily News that more hearings will be held. He says construction is not expected to begin until the year 2020.
