Children’s Day in the Park set for May 16
The City of Atascadero’s 26th Annual Children’s Day in the Park will be held Saturday, May 16, at the Atascadero Lake Park from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.
The event is free to attend, and a $5 wristband gains entry into the carnival area. There will be multiple bounce houses, pinatas and rides on the Elk’s train. The Rotary Club of Atascadero will be giving away free ice cream all day in honor of Bertha Schultz. Entertainment will begin at 2 p.m. with a performance by the Academy of Dance.

The City of Atascadero and presenting sponsor Pure Pediatric Dentistry along with The LINK, the SLO County Board of Supervisors, Idler’s Home, the Optimist’s Club, ADTA, Pickles n’ Tickles, Radiology Associates, New Times and the Atascadero Police K9 Division are hosting the event this year. Proceeds from the carnival wristband sales will help fund the city of Atascadero’s 2015 Summer Aquatics Program.
