Charles Paddock Zoo hosts ‘Wild About Art’ on Aug. 3
Animals create art at unique event
– The Charles Paddock Zoo will present Wild About Art on Saturday, Aug. 3, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event will feature the zoo’s animal residents creating unique artistic pieces, along with various arts and crafts activities for visitors.
Zoo visitors can engage in activities such as coloring, painting, and more. DJ Andy Morris will provide live music. Demonstrations and workshops, including Central Coast Seaweed Pressing and Master Gardener’s Pollinator program, will also be part of the event. Paradise Shaved Ice will offer food and beverages for purchase.
All activities at Wild About Art are included with the price of general admission. Admission is $13 for adults (13 and over), $8 for children aged 5-12, $5 for children aged 3-4, and $11 for seniors (65+). Children aged 2 and under enter for free.
The Charles Paddock Zoo is one of only 236 institutions accredited by the Association of Zoos & Aquariums (AZA). The zoo is committed to the conservation of endangered species, public education about the natural world, and providing a recreational resource for Central Coast residents and visitors. The zoo houses over 200 animals, including red pandas, monkeys, fossa, meerkats, parrots, a Malayan tiger, and a variety of reptiles.
