Central Coast distillery awarded gold medal at world spirits competition
Over 5000 spirits were judged at the competition
– Small-batch distillery Rod & Hammer’s SLO Stills was awarded multiple medals for their spirits and canned cocktails at the 2022 San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
Judges from around the world awarded a gold medal to the distillery’s Cask Strength Bourbon, a silver medal to their Old Fashioned and a bronze medal to their Distiller’s Reserve Rye and Whiskey Mule canned cocktails.
“We are honored to be awarded at such a prestigious competition,” said co-founder Rodney Cegelski. “It’s a great confirmation we are doing things right, and we’re excited to continue to show everyone how California does whiskey.”
Previously, the distillery had been named one of Wine Enthusiast’s “Top 100 Spirits of 2020” for their flagship drink Distiller’s Reserve Rye.
