Central Coast Cyber Forensics Lab to open at Camp San Luis Obispo
–The Central Coast Cyber Forensics Lab (CCCFL), the first active facility in the new California Cyber Training Complex (CCTC), will be opening on March 1 at Camp San Luis Obispo.
The Central Coast Cyber Forensics Lab (CCCFL), part of the brand new California Cyber Training Complex (CCTC), is a collaborative partnership between Cal Poly, the San Luis Obispo County District Attorney’s Office, the California National Guard and other statewide partners.
In partnership with Cal Poly and under the District Attorney’s management, the CCCFL will provide each participating law enforcement agency with tools and capabilities needed for high-tech evidence collection. The CCTC will serve as a statewide hub that provides the latest training and support required to identify, investigate and prosecute cybercrime. Military personnel and law enforcement from across the state will be able to use the center to learn and practice the latest cyber forensics and defense techniques, and Cal Poly students will get a true Learn by Doing experience by using real world examples in classroom curriculum.
