Celebrate National Farmers Market Week at Downtown Summer Sizzle
– The City of Atascadero and the North County Farmers Markets will host Downtown Summer Sizzle on Wednesday, Aug. 7 from 3 to 5:30 p.m. This event celebrates National Farmers Market Week, which runs from Aug. 4 to Aug. 10, highlighting the vital role farmers markets play in the nation’s food system and showcasing the value they bring to their communities.
The event will feature live music by the Quadratones. Chef Chuck from Cardonagh Kitchen will provide free food samples along with a complimentary recipe using ingredients available for purchase at the market. Attendees can also enjoy cider and wine tastings from Bristol’s Cider House and Lone Madrone Winery, which will be available for purchase. Additionally, cornhole boards will be set up for guests to enjoy while shopping.
After the market, attendees can participate in activities such as mini golf at Mr. Putters Putt Putt or watch a movie at Colony Cinemas. The event also encourages visitors to explore the various merchants, eateries, and drink establishments in and around downtown.
