Cantinas Foundation hosts firefighter fundraiser Nov. 19
Proceeds will go to firefighters that battled the Chimney blaze this summer
—Local firefighters will receive support for the San Luis Obispo Firefighters Benevolent Association when the Cantinas Foundation presents the Cantinas Fire Fundraiser from 5-9 p..m. on Sat., Nov. 19 at Cantinas On Park, located at 1242 Park St. in downtown Paso Robles. Tickets are $60 per person and can be purchased online.
The evening honors SLO County firefighters for the hard work they did protecting the Central Coast during the Chimney Fire, which burned from Aug. 13 – Sept. 6, 2016, destroyed 36 homes, and drew firefighter support from as far south as Culver City.
All proceeds from this event will benefit the San Luis Obispo County Firefighters Benevolent Association, which assists firefighters and their families when they are in need. The association donates money, helps with medical bills, family support, funeral costs and more.
Cantinas will be serving dinner and wine from local businesses and providing live music from acclaimed singer-songwriters, Andy Davis and Jessi Collins. Davis has headlined for Colbie Caliat, Mat Kearney and Needtobreathe. His songs can be heard on shows such as One Tree Hill, Grey’s Anatomy and Gossip Girl. Collins has been honored to sing for artists such as Celine Dion, Cher, Jennifer Hudson, Sting, Kelly Clarkson and Lionel Richie to name a few. She has also been a three-year member of the American Idol Band. The local sponsors include Mystic Hills Vineyard, Parrish Family Vineyard, Wild Horse Winery, Vina Robles, and Pacific Harvest Catering.
