Candidate gains endorsements in Atascadero Unified School Board race
– With Election Day approaching on Nov. 5, Matt Pennon has secured new endorsements in his campaign for the Atascadero Unified School District School Board. Pennon recently received the backing of key organizations and community leaders, including the Atascadero District Teachers Association (ADTA) and the Planned Parenthood Action Fund.
The “SLO Tribune” also endorsed Pennon, stating, “Pennon is among the most insightful, open, and committed school board trustees we have ever encountered.” The endorsement highlighted his transparency, noting his willingness to share information at a recent candidate forum that others might hesitate to disclose in a nonpartisan race in a conservative-leaning community.
Pennon’s other endorsements include State Senator Monique Limón, Assembly Member Dawn Addis, Equality California, and the Central Coast Labor Council. His campaign emphasizes inclusion, academic excellence, and financial responsibility, with a focus on creating a supportive environment for all students in Atascadero.
