California Mid-State Fair 2018 is officially open 

—The California Mid-State Fair is open for another summer of fun. This year’s theme is “Olé! It’s Fiesta Time,”; the fair will run from July 18 to 29.

The fair’s opening day was filled with fun activities, such as carnival rides, a cow milking demonstration, and pig races. Florida Georgia Line captivated the audience at the Chumash Grandstand Arena in the evening to kick off the fair. Entertainment after the concert included the 98.1 KJUG Barn Dance and an All 80’s Party with a live DJ, which will both occur each night starting at 9 p.m.
