Cal Poly students plea not guilty to multiple charges of shooting guns on campus

– Charles Hojaboom and Brandon Pham, the two Cal Poly students accused of shooting guns on campus in November, plead not guilty Thursday morning to multiple charges related to the incident, according to a report by the San Luis Obispo Tribune.
Hojaboom and Pham were arrested by Cal Poly police on Nov. 11 after officers found the two along Poly Canyon Road in possession of a shotgun, a loaded, concealed pistol and a knife, according to a report by the San Luis Obispo Tribune. The officers also reportedly found a nearby campus sign with bullet holes.
The San Luis Obispo County District Attorney’s Office has also filed five additional felony charges against the pair stemming from earlier incidents on campus. The agency also filed a motion to increase the two students’ bail to no bail and return them to custody.

Cal Poly students arrested for possessing firearms, ammunition
– The San Luis Obispo Police Department is assisting the Cal Poly Police Department with an investigation of an incident that occurred on campus. This incident involved two students who were found with firearms and ammunition in their dormitory and were subsequently arrested by CPPD.
Charles Hojaboom and Brandon Pham were arrested on Saturday, Nov. 11 for possessing a concealed loaded pistol, a shotgun, and various weapons and ammunition, according to reports.
“There are no known threats to our community at this time, but we understand this situation is highly concerning and we want the community to know that the safety of San Luis Obispo is our highest priority. We will continue to work closely with Cal Poly Police Department and support their investigation as needed,” said SLOPD in a press release.
