Business owners urged to display theft prevention posters locally

County program targets theft with new law enforcement effort

– Business owners in San Luis Obispo County are being urged to display a new poster in their storefronts, signaling participation in the county’s Law Enforcement Anti-Theft Task Force. This initiative, launched on Dec. 18, aims to deter theft and prosecute offenders as part of an effort supported by the passage of Proposition 36.

The San Luis Obispo County District Attorney’s Office announced the program and is encouraging business owners to print and post the anti-theft poster in their front windows. The poster is available for download on the county’s official website.

The task force was created following voter approval of Proposition 36 and focuses on enforcing theft-related laws across the county. For additional details or to access the high-resolution poster, click here.
