Brew at the Zoo returns to Atascadero Sept. 6 

Brew at the Zoo returns to Atascadero Sept. 6

Event includes wine, beer, spirits, food and live music

– The Central Coast Zoo, in partnership with the City of Atascadero, will host the 12th annual Brew at the Zoo on Sept. 6 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. The event is for guests 21 and older and will raise funds to support the zoo’s education and wildlife conservation programs.

Attendees will have access to a variety of craft beer, wine, cider, seltzer and distilled spirits from across the Central Coast and surrounding regions. A welcome reception will feature pours of select spirits, wine and cider on a first-come, first-served basis.

Participating vendors include Ancient Peaks Winery (Santa Margarita), Black Market Spirits Central Coast, Bristol’s Hard Cider (Atascadero), Central Coast Brewing (San Luis Obispo), Eberle Winery (Paso Robles), Fig Mountain Brewing (Buellton), Firestone Walker Brewing (Paso Robles), Happy Dad Hard Seltzer (Orange County), Hunt Cellars (Templeton), Lone Madrone (Templeton), Marins Vineyard (Lockwood), MEA Wine (Atascadero), Oak and Otter Brewing Company (San Luis Obispo), Pizza Port Brewing (Solana Beach), Shindig Cider (San Luis Obispo), SLO Cider (San Luis Obispo), Spent Grain Brewing (Atascadero), Tarantula Hill Brewing (Thousand Oaks), Vignerons Wine (Santa Barbara) and Wild Fields Brewhouse (Atascadero).

Non-alcoholic drinks and water will be available for all guests, with additional beverages and food for purchase from local vendors. Food offerings will include tacos, gourmet quesadillas, Greek dishes, cookie dough, pies, and more.

Live entertainment will feature soloist Amar Singh Sohi and the band The Vibe Setters. The event will include games, a costume contest, a hula hoop contest and a dance contest. Additional attractions include a light show by Medina Light Show and Designs. Guests will receive a commemorative glass, and event t-shirts will be available for purchase.

Tickets are on sale now at www.VisitAtascadero.com/BrewattheZoo. General admission tickets cost $40 per person online, with a service fee not included. Designated driver tickets are $15. If not sold out in advance, tickets will be $50 per person at the gate.

The Central Coast Zoo is accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums. It is home to more than 100 animal species, including red pandas, monkeys, fossa, meerkats, parrots, and reptiles. The zoo focuses on the conservation of endangered species and public education.
