Body found in Morro Bay harbor
Coroner rules cause of death to be a suicide
–On Saturday at about 8:50 a.m., officers from the Morro Bay Police Department were dispatched to the south Morro Rock parking area where a report was received that a body was seen floating in the bay. Upon the arrival of Morro Bay officers, a deceased male was located and recovered from the water.
On Monday, the San Luis Obispo County Coroner released the identity of the victim as Raymond Garland Reade, 74 years of age.
In addition, based on information found in a hotel room rented by the victim in Morro Bay, the Coroner has ruled the cause of death to be a suicide. The decedent previously lived in Los Osos.
