Ballroom dancing classes offered at Pavilion on the Lake
Pavilion on the Lake in Atascadero.
– The City of Atascadero will offer ballroom dancing classes at Pavillion on the Lake with instructor Dan Davis this spring. The first session is underway now. Sessions are also offered in March, April, and May.
All sessions include beginning, intermediate, and advanced instruction to accommodate the varying abilities of the class. Students may enroll in all five or choose sessions separately.
Dancing can improve your self-confidence, memory, balance, and provide many other physical benefits. The class will cover the basics and spins and turns in Swing and Foxtrot in Session I. For Session II, the instructor will introduce Waltz while continuing with more Swing and Foxtrot. In Session III, dancers will move to a Latin beat with Tango and Salsa. In session IV, the course will continue the Latin rhythm with instruction in Rumba and Cha-Cha. Session V gets dancers ready for summer events: weddings, parties, cruises, and concerts in the park with more Swing, Waltz, Latin dances, and the introduction of Club Foxtrot.
Classes are offered Tuesdays from 7-8 p.m.
