Award-winning pianist Andy Shen to play at Hope Lutheran Atascadero
– Hope Lutheran Church in Atascadero will host a free concert featuring award-winning pianist Andy Shen on Sunday, Sept. 8, at 2 p.m. The event will take place at Hope Lutheran Church, located at 8005 San Gabriel Road.
Andy Shen, a celebrated pianist and winner of the Paderewski Youth Piano Competition, will perform a diverse selection of music during the concert. Shen’s accolades include first-place awards in the California Association of Professional Music Teachers’ Contemporary Music Competition and the Concerto Competition at the Philadelphia International Music Festival. He has also performed at events such as the Paderewski Festival and the Symphony of the Vines Youth Spotlight Series.
“We are delighted to host such a gifted young musician in our community,” said Pastor Aaron Smith of Hope Lutheran Church. “His talent is a testament to his hard work and a source of inspiration. We expect that this concert will be uplifting for everyone who attends.”
This September, Shen will begin his studies at Stanford University, where he plans to major in human biology and music composition. While the concert is free, donations will be accepted to support Shen’s college expenses. “This is a great way to support Andy as he furthers his education,” Pastor Smith added.
