Long-time Atascadero residents invited to attend

– Long-time residents of Atascadero who have called the city home for at least 40 years and are aged 55 years and above are invited to the 45th annual “Colony Days Reception Tea.” This event, organized by Quota of Atascadero, is scheduled for Oct. 1. Interested attendees must secure reservations in advance.

The event promises a gathering of distinguished guests, including the newly appointed Colony Days Royalty. The occasion will mark the ceremonial transition of regalia from the outgoing royalty to their successors.

The concept for the Colony Tea originated from the creative mind of the late Edith Hessick. During her tenure as the club’s president in 1977, Hessick’s noteworthy accomplishment was the initiation of the Colony Days Tea.

Quota, a voluntary service organization, boasts a network of compassionate individuals committed to creating a positive impact by addressing the various needs of the community. With a diverse membership base, Quota members share a unified objective of extending assistance to others while deriving enjoyment from their collective efforts.
