Atascadero school district ready to register kindergarten students
–Atascadero Unified School District is ready to register kindergarten students for the 2021 – 2022 school year. Kindergarten is for children who will be five-years-old on or before September 1, 2021.
Transitional Kindergarten is for children who will be five-years-old on or between Sept. 2, 2021, and Dec. 2, 2021. Children who will be 5 years old on or between Dec. 3 and Dec. 31 may be admitted for entrance to Transitional Kindergarten based upon available space. Transitional Kindergarten benefits children who need time to develop socially, emotionally, physically, and/or academically. This developmental program acts as a bridge between the more flexible environment pre-school and the more structured academic setting of Kindergarten.
Parents with children turning five-years-old on or before Dec. 31, 2021, are encouraged to attend the kindergarten information meeting for their school of residence, please contact the school site for specifics on the information event.
Enroll online at the Atascadero Unified School District website (atasusd.org) on the “For Parents” page. You will return completed registration documents to your school of residence.
