Atascadero resident competes on Wheel of Fortune
Atascadero resident Bret Boyle competed on Wheel of Fortune May 14. He is a psychiatric tech at a hospital and also has done community theater, according to the show.
The Wheel of Fortune mobile studio visited the Central Coast back in November and Boyle was one of the people who played the mini-version of the game at the Santa Maria mall and qualified for the big show, reports KSBY.
He told KSBY: “I wasn’t the big winner. I had a blast. I know that sounds kinda cliché, but it was a blast and I hit a couple bankrupts and I missed a couple letters and you’re really not competing against those other two people, you’re competing against that wheel.”
While he didn’t win win the whole thing, he did win $7,700, KSBY reports, which he says he will get in about four months.
