Atascadero Professional Firefighters endorse Geoff Auslen for Supervisor

Geoff Auslen is running for SLO County District 2 Supervisor

– On March 16, Geoff Auslen announced that the Atascadero Professional Firefighters have endorsed Auslen for Supervisor of San Luis Obispo County’s new Second Supervisorial District.

The new district includes the communities of San Miguel, San Simeon, Cambria, Cayucos, Lake Nacimiento, West Templeton, West Paso Robles, Harmony and the City of Atascadero.

“Geoff is a longtime North County resident and fully understands the needs of first responders in San Luis Obispo County,” said Zach Jackson, President of the Atascadero Professional Firefighters. “As our next Supervisor, Geoff will be a strong advocate for investment in our local public safety infrastructure and will work to make San Luis Obispo County safer. The Atascadero Professional Firefighters are proud to endorse Geoff Auslen for Supervisor.”

Auslen – the owner of Glenn’s Repair and Rental and other ventures – is also supported by the Atascadero Police Association, the Lincoln Club of San Luis Obispo County, the pro-jobs organization A Better Atascadero, Atascadero Mayor Pro Tem Heather Newsom, Atascadero City Council Members Charles Bourbeau and Mark Dariz, former Atascadero Mayor Tom O’Malley and several others.

Auslen is a long-time local business owner and community leader. In addition to running his small businesses, Auslen has served on the Atascadero Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, as an officer of the Atascadero Elks Club and as an active member of the Atascadero Kiwanis Club.
