Atascadero Police Association sponsors youth soccer program
Program benefits 600 youth in the community
–The Atascadero Police Association has announced their 2016 Title Sponsorship of the Atascadero AYSO youth soccer program. The sponsorship directly benefits approximately 600 youth in our community and promotes a positive relationship between the youth and Police in Atascadero.
The Atascadero Police Association was formed on the basis of unity and integrity whose purpose is two fold; to provide the highest quality and most effective representation for our members, and to be a positive contribution to our community.
The APA is comprised of all the line level officers: officers, detectives, corporal and sergeants; and civilian personnel: dispatchers and evidence technician. The association’s income is provided solely by member dues, our annual charity golf tournament and community contributions. With the help of the community the APA has been able to donate a total of over $50,000 to Atascadero youth activities. The money has enabled the purchase of much needed new athletic equipment and provided educational scholarships to families in need so that their children may participate in Atascadero youth sport activities and educational programs.
Last year, the APA was able donate over $6,000 to Atascadero Youth Sports, through the Community Services Foundation.
Fundraiser golf tournament slated for Sept. 10
This sponsorship as previously stated was made possible in part by the Atascadero Police Association’s annual golf tournament which will be happening on Saturday Sept. 10, 2016 at Hunter Ranch Golf Course. The public is encouraged to join and play in the tournament. Registration fliers and sponsorship information regarding the tournament can be found at the association website by clicking here or by contacting (805) 470-3292.
