Atascadero Police Association endorses Dan Dow for District Attorney
–The Atascadero Police Association has voted to endorse District Attorney Dan Dow for re-election.
“We support Dan because we strongly believe that public safety will be best served with his continued leadership in the District Attorney’s office,” said Ron Overacker, President of Atascadero Police Association. “Dan has proven to be a steady hand in working with our department and other law enforcement stakeholders in San Luis Obispo County as we all work hard to fight crime and seek justice for crime victims.”
During Dow’s tenure as DA, Dow and his team of Deputy District Attorneys have successfully achieved justice for thousands of crime victims and their families. San Luis Obispo County continues to maintain its status as one of the safest counties in California. Dow maintains that working collaboratively with the County’s police agencies is an important ingredient in his office’s success.
“The men and women of the Atascadero Police Department put their lives on the line daily for people in our community. They are the front line of public safety and also important partners during investigations and prosecutions,” said Dow. “I look forward to continuing to work closely with their department over the coming years.”
Dow was originally elected District Attorney in 2014. He is a proven prosecutor with a career that focused on prosecuting domestic violence, sexual assault and child abuse crimes, including homicide where he seeks to bring justice for victims of particularly devastating crimes. Dow is also Army veteran and a bronze star recipient who served in Iraq, Korea and Kosovo.
Dan and his wife Wendy, a local small business owner and reading instructor, have two school-aged children. To learn more about Dan Dow and his campaign, visit: DanDow.com.
