Atascadero kids’ t-ball registration now open for the spring season
Games begin in April
—The City of Atascadero’s Recreation Division is beginning a new season of Spring T-ball. The league is open to boys and girls 4 ½ to 6 years of age. The children must be 4 ½ years old on or before March 24.
The league focuses on teaching the basics of baseball in a low-key and instructional atmosphere with one goal, to have fun! Games will take place on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at Paloma Creek Park. Opening Ceremonies will be on Saturday, March 24. Practices will begin the week of March 27 with the league games starting on Tuesday, April 10. The league will run through May 24.
The league is looking for volunteer coaches. If you are interested in helping with the league please contact Larisse Lopez [email protected] or call (805) 470-3362. A coach’s meeting will be held on March 22 at 5:30 p.m. at the Colony Park Community Center, 5599 Traffic Way. They are also looking for team sponsors. Sponsor information can be found on the City’s website or at the front desk at Colony Park Community Center.
The cost to participate in the league is $83 per child, which includes a league t-shirt, hat, and a participation award. There will be an additional $10 late fee for any registrations received after Feb. 23.
