Greyhound: Katie Burson
Sport: Varsity Golf
Grade: Senior
Coach’s comment: Katie is a four-year varsity golfer who continues to be at the top of the leaderboards each year. In the first match of the season against Arroyo Grande High School, Katie earned the Medalist honors recording a top score of 41 on the front nine holes at Chalk Mountain Golf Course. She also recorded a team-best score of 42 against Righetti HS at Rancho Maria Golf Course. Katie has earned All-League honors every season of her high school career and has been named the team’s MVP multiple times. Katie is very involved in the CTE Pathway classes for Hospitality, Tourism, and Recreation at AHS. Next year, Katie plans on attending Colorado State University in Fort Collins. – Coach Kara Ferrell

Grade: Senior
Coach’s comment: Joshua had an outstanding performance against Arroyo Grande last Friday night. He had 10 solo tackles, 6 assisted tackles, 3 tackles for loss, a forced fumble and a deflected a pass. Josh is a team leader and has worked very hard in the off-season. – Coach Michelle Weisheitinger
