Atascadero High Class of ‘69 seeking alumni for 50th reunion
–It’s been 50 years since the Atascadero High School Class of 1969 walked down stadium steps to get their diplomas. This year, during Hot El Camino Nite weekend Aug. 16-18, the Class of ‘69 will hold its 50th reunion. The event will include tours of local landmarks, including the high school campus, a reunion dinner and a farewell brunch. The meal activities will be held at the Portola Inn, owned by Atascadero alumni Tom and Peggy O’Malley.
The reunion organizing committee has sent invitations to nearly 200 classmates in the hopes of attracting as many back for the celebration as possible. A glance at the mailing list shows these Greyhounds have spread out across the country from Washington state to southern California and as far east as New York City.
Tickets for the reunion celebration are $50 apiece. Reservations may be made online at www.Greyhound50.com or checks may be sent to 165 Pine Street, Arroyo Grande CA 93420. Reunion committee members include Nancy Greenman, Valerie Glahn (Ringhofer), Susan Lewis, Gere Sibbach and Steve Martin.
