– Atascadero Farmers Market celebrated its 5th Anniversary at the Sunken Gardens Wednesday afternoon. Members of Atascadero City Council, Police Chief Bob Masterson, and Robin Gable of the North County Farmers Market Association cut a ribbon to commemorate the anniversary.
A petting zoo and attractions added to the festivities. Jump Jax provided musical entertainment.

“It’s beautiful, particularly on a spring day like we have today,” Mayor Heather Moreno said, “I love coming down here and buying fresh local vegetables and other food products. And I’ve made friends with regular vendors and other shoppers. It’s a ritual for me.”
The market is conducted in the shade of the oak trees surrounding Farmer’s Market from 3-6 every Wednesday afternoon.
