Atascadero Elks Lodge to celebrate Veterans Day with appreciation dinner
Dinner and social is free for all veterans and their caregivers
– The Atascadero Elks Lodge will celebrate Veterans Day with its Annual Veterans Day Appreciation Dinner on Nov. 11 at the Atascadero Elks Lodge located at 1516 El Camino Real.
The dinner is free to all veterans and their caregivers. The social will begin at 5 p.m., the program will begin at 5:30 p.m. followed by dinner. The spaghetti dinner is $12 for all non-veterans. Those who wish to attend should RSVP by Nov. 7, to (805) 466-3557.
“Veterans Day is an important day not only for the Elks Lodge but for our community and the entire country,” stated Atascadero Elks Lodge Exalted Ruler Ronnie Maxwell. “It is important that we never forget the sacrifices that our Veterans have made so that we all have the freedoms that we enjoy every day.”
Nationally the Elks pledge “So long as there are veterans, the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks will never forget them.” The Atascadero Elks Lodge implements this pledge by annually hosting the Veterans Appreciation Dinner, hosting the Veterans Car Show annually on Father’s Day, and by implementing additional programs each year such as the free Warbirds Museum Tour last year which included free museum entrance as well as a free breakfast and lunch for all veterans.
