Atascadero detective receives public safety award for service 

Award highlights officer’s service and commitment to local safety

– Detective Overacker of the Atascadero Police Department recently received a Public Safety Award from Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2814 in Atascadero, according to a Facebook post from the police department.

The award was presented in recognition of his service and commitment to public safety.

The ceremony took place Wednesday night.
