Concerts held at Centennial Bandstand at the Atascadero Lake Park

– The Atascadero Community Band has announced that it will be playing free one-hour concerts at 7 p.m. every Tuesday evening this summer, starting June 7 and running all the way through Aug. 23.

Join friends and neighbors on the grass in front of the Centennial Bandstand at the Atascadero Lake Park for 14 different concerts full of marches, movie themes, jazz and rock and roll tunes, and more. Barbecue dinners will also be offered across the park from June 14 through Aug. 2. The public is encouraged to bring their lawn chairs, their kids, and a picnic to support local music.

After a couple of years of hiatus, the musicians say they are anxious to perform again, “The summer concerts are my favorite concerts of the year! I love how involved we feel with our community.” says saxophonist Joyce Rabellino, a 30-year member of the band.

The Atascadero Community Band is an all-volunteer 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting the public appreciation of band music in the community and advancing the interests of local musicians of all ages. For more information visit www.atascaderoband.org.
